Dr. Scott Jackson
Dr. Scott Jackson is an accomplished concert violinist who has performed with leading orchestras across the United States, including the St. Louis Symphony and Pittsburgh Symphony. A semi-finalist in the prestigious Sphinx Competition, he earned his Doctorate of Musical Arts from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music in 2017.
His work in contemporary music was shaped as a member of Xavier University’s resident ensemble, All of the Above, with whom he performed across Cincinnati and the East Coast, including Carnegie Hall, and recorded the album Double Portrait (2020). This ensemble focused on modern repertoire, showcasing Scott’s versatility and commitment to innovative programming.
From 2018 to 2022, Scott was a fellow with the New World Symphony in Miami, where he explored both traditional symphonic repertoire and creative concert formats, including audio-visual performances, intensive chamber music, and masterclasses with world-renowned artists. Across his training and career, he has participated in masterclasses with Midori, Gil Shaham, Augustin Hadelich, Anne Akiko Meyers, Brian Lewis, and James Ehnes, experiences that continue to inform his artistry and teaching.
In 2022, Scott relocated to Las Vegas to join the string section for Adele’s residency. He was appointed Director of Strings at the Nevada School of the Arts in 2024 and became Dean of the School in 2025. He continues to perform with the Sphinx Virtuosi and remains active in chamber music, including Desert Roots (2024–2025) and Chamber Fest Las Vegas (2025), both of which highlight the city’s vibrant musical community.
